GDD

Our Units

The Youth Diplomacy Association carries out its activities in line with its mission and vision through an effective, coordinated and sustainable structure. The units within our association contribute, each in its own field, to developing projects, running activities and reaching our institutional goals. Shaped around a shared ideal, this structure strengthens GDD’s national and international work while supporting young people’s development and participation in diplomacy.

  1. Research and Development (R&D) Unit

Our R&D Unit runs the association’s project development processes in line with its goals and strategic priorities. Its core responsibilities include analysing the target audience, identifying its needs and expectations, and identifying, designing and developing projects that meet these needs. Also contributing to the implementation of the projects it develops, the unit aims to ensure that the association’s work is carried out with a needs-based, effective and sustainable approach.

  2. Communications Unit

Our Communications Unit runs all of the association’s communication activities with a coordinated, systematic and holistic approach. Organising its work under three areas, High School Communications, University Communications and Corporate Communications, the unit develops the association’s relations with its target audiences, strengthens its communication network and keeps its communication processes running effectively.

  3. Media Unit

Our Media Unit ensures that the association’s activities and projects are presented effectively in visual and digital media. Running content production, graphic design, photo and video work and digital media management, the unit also carries out archival work to strengthen the association’s institutional memory. In this way it helps record and document GDD’s activities and preserve them within an institutional archive.

  4. External Relations Unit

Our External Relations Unit works to develop the association’s international relations, run its international organisations and strengthen its international representation. Developing international projects, reaching young people and student communities in different countries, and building partnerships with international institutions and organisations are among its core areas of work. Aiming to create a diplomacy-based network of interaction and cooperation among young people, the unit seeks to contribute to the development of international youth diplomacy and to building a sustainable international youth diplomacy network.
